"Juris Ferrum" Law Firm proved that the Client did not violate Anti-Doping Rules

In December last year, a Polish athlete approached us after receiving a notice from the International Swimming Federation (FINA) stating that she had missed a doping test back in February.

ESSENCE OF THE DISPUTE:

Our client was permanently residing in Warsaw, and in February last year, she decided to visit her relatives in Krakow. During this time, a doping control officer arrived at her home. No one answered the door, so he called the athlete.

The athlete informed him that she was in Krakow and that all necessary information had been updated in ADAMS. However, the doping officer insisted that the ADAMS system showed her address in Warsaw. Nearly 10 months later, the athlete received a notice of a missed test.

ACTIONS TAKEN:

Sports lawyers from "Juris Ferrum" Law Firm assisted the athlete in preparing written explanations and gathering evidence proving the absence of any violation.

RESULT:

FINA decided not to record the missed doping test against the athlete.

The case was handled by anti-doping lawyers from "Juris Ferrum" Law Firm: Ganna Gnizdovska, Nataliia Kyreeva, and secretary Liudmyla Hnatenko.
