On August 18, Managing Partner of Juris Ferrum LF, Ganna Gnizdovska, gave a lecture for participants of the “Lawyer in Real Estate” course organized by BCA.Education.
The topic — “Legal support for real estate transactions, investments, digitalization, and security.”
Though it sounds serious, the discussion focused on very practical things — how the rules of the real estate market have changed during wartime.
The lecture covered:
- 🏡 how to verify property when BTI archives are partially destroyed and access to state registers is restricted;
- 📑 what has changed in the procedure for notarial actions and state registration of rights following the adoption of Law No. 2518-IX;
- ⚖️ what restrictions apply to transactions involving persons connected to the russian federation;
- 💰 how banks conduct financial monitoring in real estate transactions and when buyers must confirm the origin of funds;
- 🏗 how the Law “On Ensuring Property Rights to Real Estate Objects to Be Constructed in the Future” works — and what it means for developers and buyers.
“Today, a real estate lawyer must not only execute tasks but also think strategically — anticipate risks and act swiftly, even under uncertain conditions.” — emphasized Ganna Gnizdovska during her lecture.
Participants immersed themselves in real-life judicial cases — from landmark rulings of 2024–2025 to examples from everyday legal practice.
They discussed how to act when BTI archives are lost and registry access is limited — and how to protect ownership rights even in such challenging circumstances.
We are grateful to BCA.Education for the invitation and to the engaged audience for their curiosity and active participation.
